INDO-PAK WARS.

It was May 1999 when an Indian army patrol led by Lt. Saurabh Kalia walking along LOC in Kargil went missing that raised eyebrows at the headquarters. What came back were badly mutilated bodies of our brave soldiers. This incident started the fourth war between India and Pakistan; The Kargil war or Operation Vijay, which started from May 3rd and ended on July 26th. Yes, this was the fourth time that a war was thrust upon the Indian subcontinent. The war continued for 2 months prior to Pakistan's defeat. 527 Indian soldiers were martyred, breaking the hearts of numerous people and leaving behind hundreds of families in grief. Many soldiers had been awarded with the Paramvir Chakra for their brave and courageous act.

India had to fight to maintain its territorial integrity. Though in general wars are not desirable, but one can  flip the pages of history and more importantly in the Indian context, the wars had been fought against invaders, blunderers and enemies of the state.
Be it 1947 when the Pakistanis sent thousands of lashkars into India to capture Kashmir or 1965 when Pakistanis launched operation Gibraltar or 1971 when Pakistanis yet again tasted defeat by Indian defense forces. The Indian Defense Forces have planted fear in the hearts of many Pakistani army soldiers. It would be astonishing for the whole world if, after nonstop defeats, they dare to invade our motherland again...only to be annihilated once more.

FYI:
1947 INDO-PAK WAR: It was the first of four wars between India and Pakistan over the state of Kashmir. (22nd October 1947 to 5th January1948)

1965 INDO-PAK WAR: The second dispute that began on account of operation Gibraltar launched by the Pak army which was devised to infiltrate their forces into Indian land to capture Kashmir. (5th August to 23rd September)

1971 INDO-PAK WAR: The third war or the Bangladesh liberation war commenced between east and west Pakistan which lasted for 13 days until Pakistan surrendered, following the birth of a new nation- Bangladesh. (3rd December to 16th December)
